Who You’ll Work With
The Data Engineer will play a pivotal role in the Technology team, working closely with business stakeholders and development teams to architect and optimize data pipelines that fuel digital transformation initiatives. This position involves collaboration with both technical and non-technical teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and to validate data-driven insights.
What You’ll Do
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Python development and Object-Oriented design.
• Proven track record building large-scale distributed applications using a mix of SQL, NoSQL, and specifically DynamoDB.
• Deep expertise in a broad range of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, and ECS.
• A strong understanding of data mining, segmentation techniques, and sophisticated data models.
• Advanced knowledge of the full SDLC, quality assurance protocols, and working within Linux environments.
• At least 5 years of IT/industry experience with the ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
What You’ll Bring
• Design, develop, and debug cloud-native data applications and pipelines that support e-strategy and price-quote tools.
• Monitor and troubleshoot software systems to ensure peak performance, resolving bottlenecks in large-scale distributed applications.
• Ensure all data solutions align with enterprise standards and integrate seamlessly with existing cloud-based platforms.
• Partner with business and development teams to recommend system enhancements and validate data-driven insights.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all pipelines, test cases, and system architectures to ensure long-term scalability.
Nice-to-Haves
• Proficiency in Java.
• Experience designing and developing ML/AI models and working with scientific computing frameworks.
• Previous experience within the Airline or Cargo industry.
